    I have a real strong stomache but i want to know whats a good weight to loose flab in your thighs and in your stomach. The sit ups arent getting rid of the extra weight in my stomach. I dont want a super excersize because i am already skinny i just want one that will help me loose flab.

    The Zone diet is an exceptional diet plan based on the 40% carbohydrates, 30% proteins and 30% fat formula. Chicken, egg whites and fish are preferred choices as compared to pork, bacon and duck.     Planning you Zone Diet

    Plan your diet around the number of Zone blocks you are required to intake. Each Zone block is made up of 3 mini Zone blocks that are made up by carbohydrates, proteins and fat.     Gossip sites, news sites, and diet sites are all reporting on the latest trend in health: Master Cleanse. recently undertaken by power couple Demi and Ashton, this liquid-only diet is severely restrictive, difficult to maintain, and is designed to be followed for at least ten days. The purpose is to detoxify the body, clearing the colon, and revitalizing your health.

    Detoxification can be an emotionally painful process, as clearing your body of toxins can make you feel physically tired, mentally confused, irritable, and unhappy. but once you rid your body of the poisons living inside, you will feel more alert, alive and happy.

    There are three steps to the Master Cleanse detox diet: Ease in, Lemonade Diet, Ease out. Initially, you “ease in” to the Cleanse with three days of diet modification. You start on day one with only live food, a 40:60 mix of fruits and vegetables; no dairy, meat, or processed foodstuffs. on the second day, you rely on juicing fruits and veggies and having vegetable-based soups, preparing for a liquid-only Cleanse. Day three consists of fresh-squeezed orange juice (mixed with maple syrup for additional energy).

    The second step is the Lemonade Diet. for a minimum of ten days, you drink only a formulaic Master Cleanse lemonade mixture—made with organic grade B maple syrup, fresh-squeezed lemon or lime juice, and cayenne pepper added to spring, distilled, or purified water. it is recommended that you drink six to twelve glasses of this every day. No food at all and only naturally non-caffeinated herbal teas allowed to supplement the lemonade mixture. in addition, you take a daily laxative and prepare a specially formulated saltwater flush.

    You can and probably will experience a number of issues during these ten days, most notably cravings (not unusual with any diet), fatigue (due to reduced calorie consumption and the detox process), irritability, physical discomfort (purging those toxins is a hard process), and hot bowel movements. both the irritability and physical discomfort in the early stages can be partially due to caffeine withdrawal. All of these symptoms may come and go during the Cleanse and as you reintroduce foods to your body.

    Loosing weight takes a commitment to a change in lifestyle. We all see the latest fad diets being advertised that make weight loss look so easy. The problem is that for most people the weight loss is not permanent. The best way to take those pounds off is to naturally increase your metabolism.     Remember that any weight loss plan is about commitment. and that commitment has to include daily exercise as well as sensible eating. Don’t get caught up in the latest fad diet. These cause people to go on a yo-yo weight loss program where you loss weight only to gain it back in a short time. This type of weight loss can not only be frustrating to people and cause them to give up but it can also have negative effects on your overall health.

    Millions of people are on diets but as they are not following a healthy low carb diet, they fail to lose weight. one of the reasons many people fail is down to the regime they follow rather than any personal weakness.

    Faddy diets mislead people with their false expectations. for example, people who follow high protein plans are told that they will lose pounds in days. well they do but as most of it is water loss, it cannot be sustained, the weight goes back on and the person feels they have failed. so they move onto the next program.

    The laws of dieting are fairly simple. to lose one pound of fat, you need to achieve a deficit of 3600 calories. this doesn’t mean you starve yourself and don’t eat anything all day. quite the contrary. What it means is the difference between the amount of calories you consume from food and the amount you exert by way of physical activity must leave a deficit of 3600. so in other words, you need to get more active and eat better foods.

    Low carb dieters will lose weight slowly but that is the best way as you have more chance of keeping the pounds off. The two main diet killers are feeling deprived and finding the diet too difficult to follow either because you have to count calories or eat unusual foods not found easily at your local store. neither of these problems are experienced when you follow a healthy low carb plan.

    Carbohydrates are the primary source of energy for your body. They are found in vegetables, grains, fruits, legumes and dairy products. your body converts them into glucose, which is spread via your blood stream to the organs of your body including your brain. You simply cannot function without carbs. But not all carbohydrates are created equal and unfortunately most of us are eating too many white flour based ones. these have very little in the form of nutrients. one of the ways to turn flour white is to take out all the good stuff!

    The problem is that most of what we eat has become so processed our bodies digest it very quickly. this makes us feel hungry again very quickly hence the deprivation felt by some people when they are on a diet. They are genuinely starving but forbidden from eating. In order to follow a healthy low carb diet, you need to eat foods that release energy slowly leaving us feeling full for longer. these are not white pasta and rice but whole grains and food as close to its natural source as possible. Our aim is to keep our insulin levels low to inhibit the formation of fat and encourage the conversion of fat back into energy.

    A healthy low carb diet will therefore include low calories foods, a lack of saturated fats and plenty of low GI foods.

    At our last stop on this beverage expedition we took a rather long and disturbing detour, an inside look into the dairy industry –– the good, the bad, and the ugly. However, it was brought to my attention that I didn’t quite address whether or not drinking milk is good or bad. the answer is, unless you are a baby or young child, in my opinion, milk is over-rated and should not be part of your daily liquid consumption in large quantities, especially if you consider the saturated fat and lactose (a type of sugar) that is found in milk. Yet, using milk in your cereal, oatmeal, coffee, etc. in small amounts is fine, unless of course you are lactose-intolerant. Keep in mind there are also alternatives to dairy milk like soy, rice and almond milk. Today’s beverage stop is emotionally lighter, yet it could be heavier to your body. We will tackle one of the most popular liquid choices in America, soda –– a drink that does its fair share of damage to health and fitness. Drinking soda is one of America's biggest diet debacles and one that warrants a “diet villain” label –– both diet and regular. This is due to the fact that this is where your beverages get "real sticky" –– as in way too much sugar and artificial sweeteners, which are the main ingredients found in soda. 

    Sugar and artificial sweeteners are relevant to number five, SODA, of the nine liquid categories I've laid out to analyze and move you toward the "fit path" when it comes to your beverage choices. Although our journey has been quite pleasant (other than the "cow stop"), at this point you may need a little shove because sugar and artificial sweeteners are also pertinent to numbers six through eight –– other soft drinks, juices, and meal replacement drinks.

    Sugar and sugar derivatives:According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in a report by MedicineNet.com, Americans consume "one hundred and fifty-six pounds of sugar each year on a per capita basis." Quite amazing! the reason is not just from adding "table sugar" to your food and drinks –– a common diet mistake –– but the fact that highly refined sugar is found in most packaged, processed, and man-made food items. and, it comes in many forms like; sucrose (table sugar), dextrose (corn sugar), high-fructose corn syrup, etc. unfortunately, today sugar and sugar derivatives are not just found in cookies, candy and soda; it is everywhere from your cereal, bread, crackers, dairy products, mayonnaise, peanut butter, ketchup, pasta sauce, to a plethora of frozen, canned foods, and so called "fat-free" products. the list is endless.

    Can a plant really help you win the war against those extra pounds?

    There is a plant, with the tricky name, Hoodia Gordonii, that grows in Africa in the Kalahari desert, that some people claim would do just that. you have certainly seen ads for it, on the news or in magazines, claiming that it will take away all your weight problems with a pill or capsule containing Hoodia Gordonii extract.

    So, let us take a closer look on this, perhaps, remarkable plant and see where it might lead us.

    Hoodia Gordonii has two distinguished properties, it smells like rotten meat and it can suppress hunger. the smell is very easy to prove, you don’t need to conduct any complex medicine studies to confirm that, all you need is a noose and you’re all set! however, when it comes to the part of taking away hunger, things gets more complicated and just having a noose, is not enough.

    It was the natives, that calls the plant “ǁhoba”, who discovered the plant’s abilities to take away their hunger, thousands of years ago. since the Kalahari desert has a temperature range between +20 to +69 C, you don’t want to carry any extra weight, that would slow you down or drain your energy, when you are hunting there. the natives discovered that if they took Hoodia Gordonii, they didn’t experience any hunger, making them become better hunters.

    If you ask the natives, they would say that Hoodia Gordonii does an excellent job suppressing your hunger. which may not bee so strange, since they do not take a pill or a capsule, based on Hoodia Gordonii, they use the plant in a more natural way, so to speak.

    Now, we don’t have access to Hoodia Gordonii, mainly because the plant is protected and you must have a license to harvest it. however, there are plenty of resources from where you could buy pills, capsules or powder based on Hoodia Gordonii, but how do we know that it works?

    The answer to that question is that we cannot be 100% sure, yet!

    There has been few studies about the effects that Hoodia Gordonii claims to have, and the few human trials that have been conducted, hasn’t been published or handed over for a peer-review.

    Therefore, it’s hard to say if products based on Hoodia Gordonii, gives you the desired effect, of repressing your hunger. Nevertheless, science has found out what Hoodia Gordonii contains that causes the desirable effect, and that is, P57.

    A study that injected P57 directly into rat brains showed that these rats ate less, compared with rats that did not have P57 shoot into their brains. however, it’s hard to compare injections directly into the brain to some pills that you swallow.

    Also keep in mind that the experiments was carried out on rats, not humans. Nevertheless, we can safely draw the conclusion that Hoodia Gordonii have a rare and desirable quality, the power of repressing our hunger.

    Another issue with products that claims to be based of Hoodia Gordonii, how do you know that it is the real deal that you buy, and not just a copy without the active part P57?

    The answer is, sadly, that we cannot!

    The best advice that I can give you, is to carefully check the company that you are planning to buy from. Do a search on Google, with the site/company name and see what comes up.

    You could also ask around on forums that discuss diets and health to see if anyone else has dealt with that supplier before, and after that draw your own conclusion. Remember, you should always consult your physician or other health-care professional, before taking any kind supplements.
